Walpack Township Committee Meeting Minutes:

May 27, 2008

The meeting of the Walpack Township Committee was called to order at 8 p.m. by Mayor Fuller who stated this meeting was being held in compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act having been duly advertised.

Present were:  Committeeman Maglio, Committeeman Heigis, and Mayor Fuller

Also in attendance:  Virginia Fuller and Michelle LaStarza

The clerk read the minutes of the April 29, 2008 meeting.  Committeeman Maglio made a motion to approve the minutes seconded by Committeeman Heigis and unanimously carried.

Committeeman Maglio made a motion to approve the vouchers for payment seconded by Committeeman Heigis and unanimously carried.  The following bills were approved for payment:  

The clerk informed the committee that the phone company (Embarq) would not allow a phone to be installed in her home and then billed directly to the township.  Mayor Fuller made a motion to approve the phone line in the clerk’s home, billed to the clerk, and then reimbursed by the township seconded by Committeeman Maglio and unanimously carried.

Mayor Fuller read in full the resolution for the annual ABC Renewal.  Mayor Fuller made a motion to approve the resolution seconded by Committeeman Maglio.  Committeeman Heigis abstained as it is his conflict license.

The committee reviewed the correspondence.

There being no further business to discuss and no public in attendance, Committeeman Maglio made a motion to adjourn the meeting seconded by Committeeman Heigis.  The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
