Walpack Township Committee Meeting Minutes:

July 27, 2010

The meeting of the Walpack Township Committee was called to order at 8 p.m. by Mayor Fuller who stated this meeting was being held in compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act having been duly advertised.

Present were: Committeeman Maglio, Mayor Fuller

Absent: Committeeman Heigis

Also in attendance: Michelle LaStarza, Virginia Fuller

Committeeman Maglio made a motion to approve the June 29, 2010 minutes seconded by Mayor Fuller.

Committeeman Maglio made a motion to approve the vouchers for payment seconded by Mayor Fuller. The following bills were approved for payment:

7/23/10 2135 69 Treasurer, State of New Jersey  1.00
7/23/10  2136  3 Century Link  65.25
7/23/10 2137  16 JCP&L  3.30
7/27/10  2138  13 Laddey, Clark & Ryan  333.33
7/27/10  2139  8 Municipal Software, Inc.  100.00
7/27/10  2140  15 Sprint  8.10
  Total 510.98

Mayor Fuller read the following resolution and made a motion to approve the resolution seconded by Committeeman Maglio.

Walpack Township
Resolution

 
WHEREAS, the Sussex County Tax Board will approve the Tax Rate on August 4, 2010 for Walpack Township, and the Tax Bills will be printed by Microsystems; and

WHEREAS, the Tax Collector will be mailing the Tax Bills on August 23, 2010 and recommends that interest not be charged until September 17, 2010 which is after the 25 days for mailing of said Tax Bills.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Township Committee of the Township of Walpack authorize the Tax Collector not to charge interest on the August 1, 2010 tax quarter until 25 days after the mailing of said bills.

There being no further business to discuss and no one in the audience, Committeeman Maglio made a motion to adjourn seconded by Mayor Fuller. The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
