The committee discussed the Best Practices toolkit initiative sent by Governor Christie. It is a guide that is to assist municipalities with improving efficiency and manage budgets without raising property taxes. Participation and compliance will determine the amount of aid received in state aid. Each municipality needs to meet an established percentage of the checklist items.
