Walpack Township Committee Meeting Minutes:
June 28, 2016
Present: Committeeman Heigis, Committeewoman Wycalek, and Mayor Maglio
Also in attendance: Michelle LaStarza
Committeewoman Wycalek made a motion to approve the minutes of the meeting from
May 31st, 2016 seconded by Committeeman Heigis. Minutes were unanimously
accepted as presented.
Michelle LaStarza submitted the treasurer’s report and bills list for approval.
Committeewoman Wycalek made a motion to approve the report seconded by
Committeeman Heigis. The following bills were approved for payment:

Mayor Maglio read the following resolution:
Resolution
WHEREAS, James Heigis, a member of the Corporation, Walpack Inn Inc. is a member
of the Walpack Township Committee, the issuing authority, the renewal for the
year commencing July 1, 2016 must be filed with the Director of the Division of
Alcoholic Beverage Control, (N.J.A.C. 13:2-4)
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Committee of the Township Committee
of the Township of Walpack, that there is no objection to the issuance of
Plenary Retail Consumption License No. 1923-33-003-003 applied for by Walpack
Inn Inc. Route 615 Walpack, New Jersey, by the Director, as they are not aware
of any circumstance or provision of Law or Local Ordinance which would prohibit
the issuance of said license.
CERTIFICATION
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution is a true and exact copy of the
resolution adopted by the Walpack Township Committee, held on June 28, 2016.

Mayor Maglio made a motion to approve the resolution seconded by Committeewoman
Wycalek and was unanimously carried. Committeeman Heigis abstained from the
vote.
Mayor Maglio read the following resolution:
WALPACK TOWNSHIP
Resolution
WHEREAS, the Sussex County Board of Chosen Freeholder authorized an Agreement
with the Townships of Sandyston, Montague, and Walpack on September 9, 2015
covering the period July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016 to provide substance
abuse prevention programs for the residents of Sussex County; and
WHEREAS, funding for this Agreement was set at $7,564.00 has been appropriated
in the 2015 County budget; and
WHEREAS, the Sandyston/Montague/Walpack Municipal Alliance requested an
additional $2,000.00 to be used to assist with funding the Kittatinny Regional
High School Project Graduation program; and
WHEREAS, there exists funding within the Countywide Alliance Budget to grant
such requests pursuant to a Budget Modification process approved by the
Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (GCADA); and
WHEREAS, said Budget Modification has been approved by the County Alliance
Steering Subcommittee and GCADA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Township of Walpack approves the
allocation of an additional $2,000.00 which raises the total to $9,564.00 to the
Sandyston/Montague/Walpack Municipal Alliance for the provision of substance
abuse prevention services; and
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution is a true and exact copy of the
resolution adopted by the Walpack Township Committee, held on June 28, 2016.

Committeewoman Wycalek made a motion to approve the resolution seconded by
Committeeman Heigis and unanimously carried.
The committee reviewed the correspondence.
There being no one from the public in attendance and no further business to
discuss, Mayor Maglio made a motion to adjourn seconded by Committeewoman
Wycalek. This meeting was adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
